The innocent new trailer and release date for the Mario Casas series on Netflix

Oriol Paulo (‘Contratiempo’) directs the eight episodes of this thriller that premieres on April 30 on Netflix.
Contratiempo (2016) is one of the greatest successes of Spanish cinema in the international market, especially thanks to the real furor it aroused in the Chinese market. Netflix has not hesitated to reunite its director, Oriol Paulo, with the film’s star, Mario Casas, in a new thriller. This is how El inconvenience was born, an eight-episode series that will hit the platform on April 30.

Below you can see his new trailer, to the rhythm of Chromatics’ Shadow.
The inconvenience adapts the homonymous novel by the American writer Harlan Coben (author of the Myron Bolitar saga), published in Spain by RBA Serie Negra. In it, a married couple will have to rebuild their lives for the second time after the release of Mateo (Casas) from prison, who was involved in a fight and accidentally ended up becoming a murderer.

Nine years later, he tries to start from scratch with his wife Olivia (played by Aura Garrido), but a mobile call will once again test Mateo’s innocence when he begins to be investigated by an implacable police inspector played by Alexandra Jiménez.

Jose Coronado, also present in Contratiempo and Paulo’s previous film, El cuerpo (2012), completes an impeccable cast with Juana Acosta, Martina Gusmán, Gonzalo de Castro, Ana Wagener, Miki Esparbé, Xavi Sáez, Anna Alarcón and Susi Sánchez .

“The innocent has been my most complex and intense project to date. It is a choral and polyhedral thriller full of lights and shadows; a domino effect through which a series of characters who carry backpacks from the past walk and collide and struggle to find their second chance ”Oriol Paulo declared.
