‘House of the Dragon’: Leaked first photos of the filming of the prequel to ‘Game of Thrones’

House of the Dragon

‘House of the Dragon’ Updates: That’s how fast things go in Westeros. A couple of days ago the start of filming was officially announced for House of the Dragon, the prequel to Game of Thrones set 3,000 years before the events of the series. And today the first leaked photos of his filming, which is currently taking place on the coast of Cornwall, United Kingdom, have already appeared on the networks.

The series created by Ryan Condal, which also has director Miguel Sapochnik as showrunner, will star the dynasty that most love to love in the Seven Kingdoms: the Targaryen house. So we can expect a lot of blonde manes in House of the Dragon, like the ones we can already see in its protagonists Matt Smith and Emma D’Arcy in these snapshots taken on the beach in Newquay, the town in Cornwall where they are filming for HBO.

You can also see the actors in motion, facing the forceful Atlantic breeze.

Matt Smith, who you will remember from his time in Doctor Who and as one of the interpreters of Philip of Edinburgh in The Crown, plays Daemon Targaryen, the brother of King Viserys I (who will be played by Paddy Considine), a monarch whose death will precipitate the death. Targaryen civil war is known as Dance of the Dragons, which will be the central conflict of House of the Dragon.

In this scene, we can see that Daemon is having a lively conversation on the beach with his wife (and niece, those family traditions come from somewhere), Rhaenyra Targaryen, played by Emma D’Arcy (Truth Seekers).

Olivia Cooke, Fabien Franke, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, and Steve Toussaint are other members of the House of the Dragon cast that are confirmed, but who we will still have to wait to see involved in tronista work, beyond the photo of script reading that was officially published.
